Planning a Bachelorette weekend in Asheville, North Carolina?
This is the ultimate guide for an amazing bachelorette party in the beautiful mountain city of Asheville.
Asheville is an amazing destination for a bachelorette weekend. It offers everything you could possibly want in restaurants, bars, activities, and shopping!
This guide will cover the best things to do, see, and eat for your girls’ weekend. I’ve also listed some awesome places around Asheville where you might stay a night or two.
Let’s jump in with some fun activities that your bridal party will love!
Bachelorette Party Activities in Asheville!
Tubing
If your bride is down for some outdoor fun, you might take your girl crew tubing for the afternoon!
This activity is probably best for bachelorette parties in the late spring or summer, but it’s one of the best ways to appreciate the natural beauty of Asheville.
The French Broad River flows straight through Asheville and is quite popular with “tubers.”
You might check out the companies Zen Tubing and Sky Tubing. Both of these places offer affordable pricing and shuttles, so you don’t have to worry about getting back to your car after you take a relaxing float all the way down the river.
Wine Tasting
For a more refined afternoon, you might go wine tasting at one of Asheville’s many locations!
The Biltmore Winery is the most visited winery in the United States, and their wines are delicious! However, you do have to purchase an admission ticket to the Biltmore Estate in order to access the winery, which can make the trip a bit pricey.
You might take the short ride outside of Asheville to visit a beautiful vineyard in the mountains.
Addison Farms Vineyard hosts affordable tastings and tours of their winery.
You might also visit North Carolina’s Winery of the Year in Hendersonville: Burntshirt Vineyards. This winery even offers a private tasting and tour of the winery for a Bachelorette Party! You’ll need to make a reservation in advance, but it’s only $30 a person.
Cake Decorating Class
For a bachelorette weekend in Asheville, you might be surprised that a cake decorating class could be a super fun and chill activity for your bridal crew.
The Cake Studio Asheville is a great location to have a DIY cake decorating session. They have step-by-step guides, or you can follow your own inspirations.
Sweet Inspirations Cake Designs also offers private classes where they will teach you how to decorate cakes in your own home! They will bring all the cakes and supplies for you–you just have to be ready to learn and have fun!
Apple Picking
If you’re hosting your Asheville bachelorette weekend in the fall, you ought to go apple picking!
The orchards in this area have some beautiful mountain views, so it’s one of the best places to take pictures with your gal pals.
Sky Top Orchard is one of my favorites in the nearby town of Flat Rock. Other than apple picking, they have lots of other activities on the property that you can do, such as checking out the farm animals, or trying their many apple-flavored treats. You have to taste their cider or famous apple-cider doughnuts!
Grandad’s Apples is another great location in Hendersonville, NC! Their family farm also has some really fun activities, like exploring the corn maze or feeding their goats. They also have a Country Store and Bakery where you can buy some delicious apple desserts (and slushies!).
Explore Downtown Asheville
This is an easy and free activity that could fill an afternoon or evening!
There’s plenty to explore on the streets of downtown Asheville, including coffee shops, boutiques, and art galleries.
You might just enjoy wandering around and seeing what yummy eats or shops you can find, but here’s a few places you can stop by:
Kress Emporium is an indoor market that showcases the work of local artists. You’ll find regionally-made pottery, paintings, photography, jewelry, and more!
Mast General Store is a popular shop on Biltmore Ave that sells outdoor apparel, home goods, and specialty food items. I always love exploring this two-story location, and they often have some great sales!
Hazel Twenty Boutique is a girly clothing and lifestyle shop right in the center of downtown. They recently opened, but they offer some trendy brands and accessories that always have the store popping with customers! Their dog mascot, Maise, can often be found greeting shoppers at the front door. It’s adorable!
Best Places to Eat & Drink!
There are tons of restaurants and bars in Asheville that will give you and your bachelorette party a great time and a delicious meal! Here are some of my favorite options.
The Market Place
I love this restaurant for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays!
They offer some delicious breakfast and early lunch options – and it’s pretty affordable too.
I recommend the classic Market Breakfast, or the Banana Bread French Toast if you’re feeling sweet. You’ll can also order some delicious mimosas and other early morning cocktails to start your day off right.
Sunny Point Cafe
For lunch, you might stop at this famous eatery a little outside downtown. They have an adorable outdoor patio and garden and are often recognized for their friendly service! You’ll find that their Chicken & Waffle Sandwich as well as their Chipotle Cheddar Cheese Grits are really delicious.
The Greenhouse: Noble’s Bar and Bistro
This is a beautiful restaurant downtown with a delicious menu of individual plates, or large platters that you can share with your girls!
Noble Cider is known for their delicious ciders made from fresh fruit and other yummy ingredients.
You’ve got to order a flight of ciders while you’re here to try all their creative flavors, like raspberry and nitro coffee & cream!
They’ve also dressed up this Noble location as a beautiful garden room, so it’s very instagrammable.
Thirsty Monk
The Thirsty Monk is a funky bar with true Asheville character. They have two floors of yummy beers and ales on tap. I also really like Top of the Monk, their classy cocktail bar on their rooftop patio.
Montford Rooftop Bar
This is a sophisticated spot on the top of the Hyatt Place Downtown. With gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, creative cocktails, and a well-rounded wine list, your bridal party is sure to have a lovely night out at this bar!
Where to Stay in Asheville During Your Bachelorette Weekend!
Asheville is full of beautiful places to spend a night or two for your bachelorette weekend! Here a few options that will get you started on a search for what your bride might like the best.
Cabin in the Mountains
Asheville is so close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, so you might find a cozy cabin for your bridal crew to stay in for the weekend! Black Mountain is an adorable mountain town only 20 minutes away, and Lake Lure is another lovely area that you might find a woodsy cabin to spend the night.
Definitely check out Airbnb and Vrbo to look through your various options. I recommend putting the ‘hot tub’ filter on to help you narrow it down to the best places!
Fancy Downtown Hotel
If you want to be near all the action, you can stay in one of Asheville’s more sophisticated downtown hotels. If you book ahead of time, it should be easy to find a fancy suite for your bride crew to stay in! Hotel Indigo and Cambria Hotel are some beautiful options that are within walking distance from all of Asheville’s downtown restaurants and shops.
Glamping
If you’re looking for the best of both worlds, you might check out Asheville Glamping! They rent out a bunch of glamorous camping spots all over the Asheville area, including adorable tents, yurts, and treehouses. And, they all have AC and electricity! Amazing!
