Wichita, Kansas has some of the best coffee shops!

When I spent an entire summer in Wichita, these coffee shops were my go-to destinations for getting work done or meeting up with a friend.

Wichita is definitely known for its vibrant restaurant scene.

And, if you’d like me to make a list of the best places to eat in Wichita, definitely let me know in the comments below!

However, they don’t get enough credit for the delightful coffee options they have all over the greater Wichita area.

The city has lots of different options for a delicious latte or a quick cup of Joe. And, don’t worry – almost all of these places have free wifi!

Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ve got to check out these awesome coffee destinations in Wichita. Let’s jump in!

Leslie Coffee Co.

This Wichita coffee shop is a lovely spot downtown, just over the Douglas Avenue bridge on the west side of the Arkansas River. I love the minimalist decor and the “hipster” vibes in this shop. The baristas here are also very friendly – definitely ask them for recommendations!

WHAT TO ORDER

My personal go-to is the cold brew (steeped overnight) with dulce de leche flavor and coconut milk. Their honey lavender latte is also delicious!

For a bite to eat, you might try their avocado toast with pickled mustard seeds or the house-made granola.

They also have a fun little ‘secret menu’ that you should ask your barista about!

Reverie Coffee Roasters

This Wichita coffee shop is definitely a local favorite! I always found this place to be quite busy, but this shouldn’t deter you since they have tons of seating.

The bustling atmosphere is also very inviting and makes this place a great one for people watching (one of my favorite coffee shop pastimes).

Their flagship location is in the Douglas Design District, just east of downtown.

At night, Reverie Roasters turns into an eclectic, welcoming bar with delicious cocktails as well! They’ve got some fun mixology going on that is definitely worth checking out.

WHAT TO ORDER

Their rosemary salted caramel latte is to die for. So, so delicious. I order mine with cashew milk, which pairs nicely with the caramel flavor.

They also have their own housemade, specialty roasts that you might like to try! It’s certainly a unique Wichita experience.

The Donut Whole

This is another really fun spot in the Douglas Arts District. Noticing a theme here?

I love this down-to-earth, crafty bakery because it also acts as an art gallery and live-music venue! There’s also a beautiful sunflower mural in the parking lot. It’s very ‘Kansas-esque’ and definitely the perfect spot to snap a quick picture.

They have delicious local coffee blends available, and they also make their delicious donuts from scratch using local ingredients as well!

WHAT TO ORDER

On Tuesdays and Sundays, they have gluten-free donuts, and on Wednesdays, there are vegan donuts! I am neither gluten-free nor vegan, but I’m telling you that these diet-friendly donuts are just as good as their regular ones.

Some of the best flavors I tried were the fluffernutter, caramel cheesecake, and the GF chocolate.

They are always super creative in introducing new, seasonal flavors, so you’re sure to have a variety of delicious options to choose from when you visit!

R Coffeehouse

Another one of the best coffee shops in Wichita is R Coffeehouse!

This location is a little more off the beaten path in one of the neighborhoods near downtown, close to the Little Arkansas River. The coffeehouse is set up in a house with lovely outdoor patio seating. It’s family-owned and features live music, local art, and some really delicious food options as well!

WHAT TO ORDER

I’ve really enjoyed their iced caramel latte, and as far as food goes, their chicken salad sandwich is extremely delicious!

A lot of people are big fans of their breakfast dishes, so it might be worth a shot to stop by in the morning for a welcoming cup of coffee and a quick breakfast bite.

The Spice Merchant & Company

Now this place isn’t exactly a coffee shop like the others on this list, but it’s definitely a must-visit!

This company roasts their own coffee and sells their creations at their shop. These various roasts include beans from all over the world and dozens of different flavor combinations.

Not only does the store sell their own coffee creations, but they also have housemade teas and spices, and tons of gourmet foods and cooking accessories.

Just exploring this place and walking down their various aisles is enough–also, the store smells delicious as soon as you walk in!

WHAT TO ORDER

Their most popular coffee roast is Jamaican Me Crazy, and with good reason – it’s delicious, with really warm notes of vanilla and rum!

I also really like their Chocolate Raspberry and Coco Loco flavors. And, if you’re not a coffee fan, I’m currently loving their Earl Grey loose tea blend. I mix it with steamed milk, and it’s quite yummy!

That’s all for my favorite coffee shops in Wichita!
